Southern Five Flavor Poundcake
One of the best pound cakes you will ever taste in your life!
- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 3 cup` white sugar
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon each of vanilla, almond, butter, and lemon extract
- Pinch of salt
Grease and flour a bundt pan.
Preheat your oven to 325 Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, coconut oil, and sugar.
Add in eggs, one at a time, being sure to mix thoroughly after each egg
In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until it's well combined then add your heavy whipping cream and buttermilk.
Mix in your 4 extracts.
Put the batter evenly into prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool. After 30 minutes remove the cake from the pan cut into and enjoy!
